The credits go back. A render, transcription or generation that fails, or finds nothing to give you, is refunded automatically, and every movement is listed on your activity page.
No. At the start of each billing month your balance is refreshed to your plan's credits. If you switch plans, the credits you have left stay and the new plan adds its own on top.
